Liverpool have taken control of their Champions League round of 16 tie with Inter after a big victory at San Siro.
Scorers: Firmino 75, Salah 83′
An open first half yielded half chances for
both sides, but the score remained locked at
0-0 at the interval.
Inter dominated the early stages of the
second half, forcing Liverpool boss Jürgen
Klopp into a drastic triple substitution on the
hour mark.
But it was half-time substitute Roberto
Firmino who broke the deadlock when he
flicked a great header in froma corner in the
75th minute.
Inter pressed for an equaliser but it was
Liverpool who struck again, when Mohamed
Salah’s effort beat goalkeeper Samir
Handanović with the aid of a slight deflection.
